The color of the year: Radiant Orchid

Happy New Year everyone! It’s been a while since my last post, but I hope the New Year will bring me more opportunities to keep up with my blogging. 🙂

Today I wanted to bring attention to the color “radiant orchid”, which as you may already know, is the latest trendy color. The radiant orchid hue falls somewhere between purple and pink. It’s such a popular choice because it can be featured all year round and used with various themes. Below are just a few ideas for inspiration.

Alexandra & Sam’s Wedding

Alexandra & Sam were first introduced to each other through a mutual friend at a party back in 2010. According to Sam, he actually asked a friend about her after seeing her picture a couple years before then but unfortunately for him she was “spoken for” at the time. As luck would have it, their paths would cross at right the time in both of their lives. They would go on to build a solid friendship over the next few
months which evolved into a relationship, soon realizing they were meant to be.

Sam proposed to Alexandra on a romantic, intimate New Year’s Eve night shared just between the two of them. The wedding was held on May 18, 2013 at Carlyle on the Green and was even equipped with a special love song sung by Sam for his beautiful bride. A great celebration for all family and friends…

Alicia & John’s Wedding

Alicia was born in Detroit, Michigan and John born in Cambridge, England. It seems like a world apart, but it was destiny which brought our bride and groom together in February 2011 when they met at the Brooklyn Museum in New York City. Needless to say the art exhibits weren’t the only things they were checking out. They enjoyed some good conversation, exchanged phone numbers and the rest is history. The following year, John proposed to his bride to be during a romantic getaway in Barbados.

When I met Alicia she let me know she wanted a simple, yet elegant wedding. Once we got started with the planning process Alicia realized all the fun stuff we can do with “bling” and you know she had to have it. I worked with Alicia and John throughout the entire process and it was such a pleasure every step of the way. It was definitely a beautiful and elegant affair at the Rockleigh Country Club enjoyed by all in attendance. We just wanted to share some images from the day…enjoy!

Evelyn & Roman: “Amor de Coco”

Evelyn and Roman are one of those unique couples that within the first minute you meet, you know that they’re a perfect match. Their positive energy and genuine love for each other made them so much fun to be around! Through the time I spent working with Evelyn & Roman leading up to their wedding in Punta Cana, D.R., I really grew to appreciate just what incredible people they are.

The ceremony was held at the breathtaking Sanctuary at Cap Cana resort with the reception on location at the Blue Marlin Restaurant. Family and friends were ready to party…and what a party it was. So amazing and so much fun, that I wish I was actually a guest at this wedding!

Evelyn & Roman will always have a special place in our hearts and we hope to continue a beautiful friendship for years to come.
